About this work

Stonehenge places the ancient stone circle in the foreground of an impossible cosmic landscape. Sunlight passes through its central trilithon and casts long shadows toward the viewer, giving the monument the appearance of a precisely aligned gateway.

Behind it rise an Egyptian pyramid and several obelisks, while planets, an eclipse and a broad rainbow occupy the star-filled sky. At the center, a spiraling blue tunnel surrounds a narrow beam of light, connecting the terrestrial monuments to a speculative passage through space and time.

Repeated infinity symbols and zero denominations frame these structures as measures of duration rather than money. By gathering civilizations and astronomical phenomena into one scene, the work treats Stonehenge as part of humanity’s long effort to orient itself within forces far larger and older than any single life.
